I am not researching Quarles, but thought this may be of use to someone.

DIED
At Bayly's Springs, Lauderdale county, Ala., on the 20th of July, of Dropsy, Dr. Moses Quarles in his 53d year of age. The deceased was born in Edgefield District, S.C.and emigrated to Tuscaloosa county in the year 1833, where he has since resided.
