Nellie Quarmby was my maternal grandmother. Last address 12 Storths Road,Birkby, Huddersfield. Died aged 84 in the mid 'sixties. Maiden name Cartwright. Born Brighouse or Huddersfield. Widowed and then married Dyson Smith who predeceased her in the late' forties, early 'fifties. Had two daughters - Trixie Quarmby (my mother) who died in Florida in the 'seventies and Mary Quarmby, still living. Mary was twice widowed - first husband Regnald Hall (they lived at Quarmby Fold, Oakes, Huddersfield) and second to ? White of Harrogate.
