I am searching for the family of a Dr Quarrier, Surgeon on Her Majasty's Ship Leander in 1817. This kind Dr rescued my GGGGrandfather William Chamberlain from a pirate ship and took him to Scotland where he educated him at a local school in Musselburgh near Edinburgh. William had been kidnapped from Pt Jackson in Australia. Dr Quarrier then arranged for William to be returned to Australia where he enjoyed an illustrious career as a Master Mariner and Ship owner.
