So I finally have someone to respond to my lonely post! It's wonderful to hear from a relation of this fascinating family.
Thank you for confirming something that I have suspected for some time; that Elizabeth died of complications from childbirth.
As far as the date of the marriage, Alexander and Elizabeth were married in 1783 in New Jersey. I have a copy of the marrige bond from the New Jersey Archives.
In it Elizabeth's name is recorded as Dunneberger, but is probably Dannenberger.I have not been able to find any info on her or her family.
I wonder if you could help with another question I have about this family. How did one of the older children of Alexander and Elizabeth get the middle name of Burns, the surname of his third wife? Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Ron Davidson
