Another descendent of Alexander's

Thought that I would join in on the fun, as I am also descended from Alexander Quarrier and his wife Elizabeth Dannenburger. I have copies of Rod Eskew's book and it was after he wrote it that we corresponded. As for their marriage, Rod went my A. Quarrier's memoirs with "they married in Philadelphia". At the time of our correspondence, I was going through the NJ marriages looking for someone else, when I spied Alexander Quarrier and Elizabeth Dannenburger's marriage license listed as 1 Jan 1783. As for Alexander Quarrier's real 1st marriage to Mrs. Betty Bowie Hunter in Scotland, this can be found on Genealogylibrary.com under "The Descendants of Thomas Bryant" It seems that one of Alexander Quarrier's step-sons became a prominent citizen of Philadelphia and wrote his memoirs, including the information about Alexander Quarrier's association with "another woman", ie his marriage to Elizabeth Dannenburger before he left or divorced his present wife. Quite an interesting story. I am related through A. Quarrier and his wife Elizabeth, their daughter Margaret Alexander married secondly to Robert Caldwell Woods, their daughter, Emily Lovely Woods m. Thomas Gerald Black, their daughter, Minnie Sabine Black m. Joseph Shewell Gibbs, their son, Joseph Shewell Gibbs, Jr. m. Katherine Elson Stone, their daughter, Edith Margaretta Gibbs m. John Grant Squibb, my parents. Love to hear from any of the family, at squibb-chesley@mediaone.net.
