I am a descendant of William Burns Quarrier and Mary Ann Hudson. William was the first son of Alexander Quarrier and his third wife Sarah 'Sally' Burns. I'm excited to see other descendants of William on board here.
There was a querry posted earlier about Sally's ancestry. All that I know is that she was a daughter of William Burns. WIlliam appears to have resided in King William county which may explain why he there is so little documentation on him. King William is a "burned" county sadly enough. Sally's mother's name could have been Frances/Fannie since two of her daughters were given this name. Keep in mind that Alexander and Elizabeth named a daughter Harriet Burns Quarrier. Could this have been the name of family friend in Richmond? Could this have been William's wife's name? Pure speculation but food for thought. Has anyone else found anything about the Burnses?
