Hi jan thanks for writeing here is a little bit of informat ION that I have it is thought that the family came from the Iland of ulva JAMES QUARRIE B/I.O.M.1759 MARRIED A MARY SCOTT SOME WAY DOWN THIS TREE IS JAMES BORN1834 IN THE I.O.MAN DIED IN NEW ZEALAND MARRIED A JANE MILLAR HAD 5 CHILDREN / MY HUSBANDS GREAT GRANFATHER WAS WILLIAM BORN 1838 DIED 1903 WEST DERBY MARRIED A CHARLOTTE TEARE? OUR FAMILY DID TRAVEL ROUND AROUND THE WORLD DUE TO THE CLEAREING OF SCOTLAND IN 1600 PERHAPS THIS CAN HELP YOU I DONOT KNOW BUT EVER LITTLR HELPS
