I'm seeking correspondance with anyone who has information on the family of Hans Nickel Querin, born 1714, who emigrated to Philadelphia on the Halifax, 1752. He lived in Berks Co. Pa. 1752-79, then Montgomery Co. Md. where he died in 1788. Hans changed his name by then to John Nicholas Query. His wife's name was Margarethe Bauer. Children included George Daniel 1754-1837, Johan Heinrich 1760- and Christina 1757- .
He belonged to the Metz Church of Berks Co. Pa. in the 1750's. Also attending that church was Catharina Querin who wed there in 1765. How is she related to John?
