Colonial Georgia records indicate that that the Quartermans did not arrive in Liberty Co., GA until 1754, when they migrated there with the group who came from Dorchester Co., SC. So your Robert was most likely born in SC, not GA. There is evidence that the emigrant ancestor of this family was a Robert Quarterman, who was in SC as early as 1698, and probably died in 1710. Also, Midway Church records indicate that Robert and Elizabeth also had dau. Eliz. & son Edward.
