I am trying to trace my grandmother's family. Jacob and Louisa Maria (later became Mary)Quardt, who came to America from Germany around 1870's. The spelling of the last name has varied from Quard, Quartz, Quarz, etc.

They moved around from Minnesota to South Dakota to North Dakoka to Canada. The children of Jacob and Mary were:
Metta b: 1891
Dorothea b: 1864
Johann b: 1866
Anna b: 1868
Marie Augusta b: 1870
Anna Louisa b: 1871 (my gg grandmother)
Metta Rose b: 1873
Kati Otilia b: 1875
Wilhem Hinrig b: 1877
George Jakob b: 1878
Eide Mae b: 1884

Please let me know if this may correspond to any of your family members.

Sincerely,
Marla Gray
