My ancester John Quay was born I believe about 8/22/1815. I have seen it as 1808. I think he was born in St. Lawrence NY but am not sure. He move to Michigan about 1836. He married Harriet or Caroline Collar bef 1839. Children were Myron (1839), Edwin Stacy (1843)(my ancester), William (1844), Mary Jane (1847, Cordelia Ann (1848). His wife died at child birth in 1852. He married Maria Rorick and had Perry (1856), Clara (1858) and Sarah (1858).

There is some thought that his father might be Samuel Qua but have not been able to prove it.

Any help you can give me will be appreciated.

Marv
