Carolyn I am a descendant of John Waddell, Jr. and Rachel Quee Waddell. My great grandparents were Seth Decatur Waddell and his wife, Catherine Adams.

A relative published "The Waddell and Related Families" in 1995. This book contains a few pages about John Waddell, Sr. who married Mary McCoy, she died then he married Rachel Quee, the daughter of Alexander McQuee and Hester Rittenhouse in 1763. They had ten children; including my ancestor, John Waddell, Jr. who married three times, first to Rebecca Sevier Waddell, then Miss Blanchard; and also Nancy Heywood.

Margaret Waddell, the eighth child of John and Rachel Quee Waddell, called "Peggy", married John Gennings and had two sons: Seth quee (my ancestor)and Soam D. Gennings. They divorced and she regained her maiden name for herself and her sons; otherwise, our name would have been Gennings.

Perhaps we can exchange other information.
