Thomas Qua Death Notice
Posted by: James White (ID *****0250) Date: November 20, 2009 at 22:30:17

Per information I have from Kit Craven's research, a brother of my ggg grandfather (Robert Qua) was Thomas Qua. They and brother John Qua emigrated from Ireland to New York (Washington County).
Thomas was born in the 1760s, and died (per Kit's information) August 12 1808.
I just came across some death notices for Washington County, 1799-1880 (Death Notices from Washington County, New York, Newspapers, 1799-1880, by Mary Smith Jackson). It shows a Thomas Qua "to be executed August 12, 1807 for the murder of his wife. Born Ireland, leaves son age 9-10 years, and dau age 7-9 years".
Kit, if you read this (or anyone else with information), might this be the same person, with the age off by one year?
Thanks,

Jim White
