Alexander Quay/Quee, PA, 1700s

According to the LDS Ancestry files on-line, one Alexander Quay (also spelled Quee in some records), born in or before 1730, was the son of another Alexander Quay/Quee and his wife Sarah, all in the area of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania (or surrounding counties, or even across the Delaware River in New Jersey (NJ)). According to some researchers, this Sarah may have been Sarah Engel, born in or before 1712 and possibly the daughter of Jacob and Catherine (Rittenhouse) Engel. There is an extensive Rittenhouse genealogy on LDS and a separate GenForum for that family. (Incidentally, the younger Alexander reportedly had a daughter named Abigail Mary Quay who, in 1768, married Robert Slocum and moved to Virginia.) I am interested in exchanging information and cooperating on future research on these family lines. Please contact me at dboggs1252@aol.com.
