I have some Quas from Ireland (James and his wife Ellen Ingram). They had some children called Helen and James b. 1792, this James then had 7 children- do you have any connections related to them? I think that James took his children to Scotland where they changed their name to Quay. There is still a large contingency of Quays in Scotland, some emmigrated to New Zealand in about 1920. Apparently there are rather alot down under.

If you have any info regarding the descendants of James Qua I would be very grateful.

Hannah Quay
