Family of Samuel Quay (b. abt 1824 in Canada, migrated to NY)found in Waupau,(Burnett Twp), Dodge county, WI 1875 - without Samuel. Found again in 1880 same location - without Samuel. Daughters Ada b. 1853, and Susie b. 1856, Niagara county, NY (probably in Town of Porter) are shown with their mother, Mrs. Ovelia Quay.
Samuel H. Quay is the brother of James Quay b. Can. and migrated to Lockport, Niagara, NY. James m. Mary Elizabeth a deaf orphan and raised a family in Niagara county. James was a carpenter by trade.
