It appears that your Joachim Québédeaux was the son of Nicholas Québédeaux m. Marguerite Landry
Nicholas Québédeaux was the son of Charles Québédeaux and Marie-Catherine Recuron
Jaochim's grandfather(father of Charles)was progenitor Joseph Québédeau dit l'Espagnol m. Marie-Anne (Antoine) Beau, who was living in Colonial Illinois at Fort Chartres in 1759.
His son Charles moved to Pointe Coupée following the treaty of 1763 and married Marie-Catherine Recuron in Pointe Coupée. The family established in the Bayou Teche area.
The name Québédeaux is actually of Spanish origin (Quevedo), the reason Joseph Québédeaux was called l"Espagnol. The name was gallecized to its phonetic sound, Québédeau and then to Quédédeaux.
Send me more information on your family so I can upgrade my file on the Québédeaux line.
Don Landry
