My 7th great grandfather was in the 1709 mass emmigration from Germany and his name showed up on a list as a Palatine Volunteer in the Annesburg and Queensbury Expedition against Canada; this list dated 26 July 1711. It also states he served with General Nicholson at Montreal. Source - "Walborn/Walburn Genealogical History of American Descendents" I have written to Washington, D.C. and they do not have any records prior to the Revolutionary War. They suggested I write to the state where the ancestor lived and check their colonial records. Since my gr......grandfather was in New York at the time, I have written there, and tried to search the archives on-line with zip results. My next attempt will be through the Daughters of the American Colonists. I, too, have not had much luck finding anything in detail about the Expedition on-line. Just a few paragraphs here and there. If I find any further information, I will glady post it. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas on where I should be looking. Thank you
