Here is further information on Amelia QUELCH and siblings etc.If you can see any connections, please do contact me!
Amelia QUELCH (my 3xgt-grandmother) was born on 25 July 1792, and baptised on 19 August 1792, the daughter of William and Masiah/Mosiah/Moziah QUELCH. Amelia was the youngest of eleven, as far as I can see. Everybody was in the parish of New Windsor (now known as Windsor, Berkshire).
Father William was "William (the younger)", which is useful to know. He married Mosiah MILSON in New Windsor on 23 May 1773.They started baptising their children 5 months later:
John (1773)
Anne* (1774)
Eleanor (1776)
Elisabeth (1778)
William* (1780)
Ann (again) (1781)
Charlotte (1782)
Charles and Susanna (baptised together 1787, but not necessarily twins)
George* (1789)
Amelia (1793)
The three with a star died in infancy.
Amelia appears as a witness at someone else's wedding in October 1810. She'd have been 18 then, and presumably, though not certainly, hadn't yet left Windsor. Her parents were (just) dead (see below). I still have to find her marriage to John GARLICK: their first-born, Amelia Faithfull GARLICK, arrived around 1815 or 1816.
The QUELCH parents died in 1808 (William) and 1810 (Moziah).
Does this ring any bells?
Thanks,
Fiona WILSON
