Paschal Genail is my wife's great-great grandfather. He was married three times, two of which I have documentation.
1. Married Eleanora Marie Philomena Thibault on November 4, 1860
2. Married to Adaline Rittenhouse as indicated in the 1870 US Census. They had one son: Edward;
3. Married to Augusta Jackson Genail. They had one daughter Cora.
Paschal was on the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and died of a gunshot wound occuring in the line of duty. That incident occurred on August 15, 1881. Paschal died as a result of that gunshot on September 3, 1881.
Coroners Inquest report on the shooting indicated he was to be buried at Siegerson Cemetery. So far I have been unable to verify his burial location.
Paschal was also a prisoner of war as he was a member of the Confederate Forces and captured in Kansas.
If you have any additional information it would be appreciated.
