Aloha (cousin) Chris,
Yes, we are related and your grandfather is listed among the Sarrat "Quevedo Cousins." My only question for you--see your personal email--which Marcelino QUEVEDO is your grandfather?
As with most Filipino surnames, our QUEVEDO surname orginates shortly after 21 Nov 1849. See < http://www.bibingka.com/names/default.htmhttp://www.bibingka.com/names/default.htm > for clarification. Our bacnang QUEVEDO ancestors were originally ASSUMPCIONs and ASUNCION of Sarrat, before 1850.
Other QUEVEDOs in the Philippines may or may not be our bloodkin. There are the QUEVEDOs of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur who may not have started out as our kin, but through intermarriage, now are our kin; the Cebu QUEVEDOs are possibly from the line of Ponciano QUEVEDO originally of Sarrat; the Iberian line of Francisco QUEVEDO in Manila is extinct, while that of his brother Antonio QUEVEDO, still lives in Camarines Sur but no longer under the QUEVEDO surname.
In any case, hope this helps.
Bryan
