Mary Quickfalls, child c. 1820, Ontario?

Hello all Quickfalls:

Please forgive a complete newbie if I am asking a question that has already been asked.

I am the current custodian of a family embroidery sampler signed by a Mary Quickfalls, 1820.

I assume that it is from Ontario, but I can't be sure, as no one I know has done our family tree to find out exactly who she was or where she lived. Can any of you help?

I am guessing that it has come down to the Clarence family from Mabel Dunham Clarence probably via her father, William Dunham. The Dunhams were farmers who lived in southwestern Ontario around Listowel. That's nearly all I know.

The sampler is so charming that I would like to know more about the enigmatic girl who created it.

Please respond if you have any info. Thanks. Christine
