Nancy,
I wanted to respond because my name is Nancy Lohr. I was born in Greensburg, PA, 1959.
Also, I work with a lady named Ella MacLaren. She's about 83 years old and from around Johnston, PA. (we are in Pensacola, FL now). When I met Ella, she said she had a relative, long deceased, named Nancy Lohr.
Anyway, I will ask her about your grandfather. It seems too odd, that she had a relative Nancy Lohr, from Johnston, close to the year you speak of and you are a Nancy Lohr with a decendent from Johnston.
