Pam, please send me a copy of this document. Thanks.

As far as I know I am not related to anyone involved. My interest is in a book that I found in a S/H bookstore in Hay-on-Wye,Wales,UK a few years ago. Entitled 'Plainville,USA' ,I beleive it depicts Wheatland MO in the late 30s as part of a sociological study. The names of places and persons had been changed to protect anonymity.

The 'Proudy-Hix' feud is refered to as a footnote to an account of a 1939 court case between two Proudys(Paxtons, maybe?) involved in a shooting incident over a disputed right-of-way to a public road.

Does this sound familiar? Do you know of this book? Is 'Plainville' Wheatland? Further info. available on this book if required.

Thankyou,

Alun Jenkins,
Cowbridge, Wales, UK
