William, I don't know if the following is the immigration record for your Manus Quigg. The age given doesn't match up with the ages given for him on census records. Perhaps you can locate his naturalization record which might confirm or disprove whether this is the right Manus or not.

What do you know about Manus' wife, Nancy/Ann? I strongly suspect she is a sister of my husband's great-grandmother, Catherine Anna "Kate" McNulty Cum(m)ins, wife of William Cum(m)ins.

Catherine Anna and William were married about 1871, probably in Cleveland, Oswego Co., NY. William's parents were Victoria Landgraff and Charles Cummins. (Have quite a bit of info about the Cummins and Landgraff families.)

Catherine died in Erie, Erie Co., Pennsylvania 30 Sep 1927. According to her obit, she was returned to Cleveland for burial, but we haven't been able to locate exactly where she is buried. We suspect St. Mary's Cemetery. It is likely there is no headstone.

According to Catherine's death certificate, her parents were Mary Gallagher and Arthur McNulty. The certificate says she was born in the Town of Bethlehem, Albany Co., NY in 1852.

The reason I believe Catherine and Nancy/Ann are sisters is that at the time of the 1860 census Mary McNulty is living next door to Ann and Manus. I don't know who Catherine and Michael Morgan are. I also don't know if or how Mary and Edward Gallagher are related.

By the time of the 1870 census Mary Gallagher McNulty is living with Nancy and Mannus. Then in 1880 Mary is living with another daughter, Margaret (see census records below).

I haven't been able to find any trace of Arthur McNulty on the 1850 census. It appears Arthur may have died before 1860 since he isn't listed with Mary.

Mary died in Cleveland in 1886 and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery next to Margaret (McNulty) and Lewis Riter.

Hope some of this info helps your research. Will gladly share any further info we discover about our families.
