James Alexander Quigg

My sister and I are researching our family tree and would like information on James Alexander Quigg, our grandfather. He was born on 6.9.1883 in Westhoe, South Shields, County Durham, England. His father was William John Quigg and his mother was Mary Hills, formerly Wardropper. In 1907 James A Quigg married Jane Lamb at St Georges Presbyterian Church, Sunderland. James emigrated to South Africa some time after 1910 and possible before the outbreak of World War 1. It is likely that he settled in Durban as a researcher found a reference to him in S.A. He left Jane behind and two little boys, my father Willam Quigg and his brother, Alexander Quigg. Jane died whilst the boys were small. We have found a reference to a James Alexander Quigg aged 19 and a James Quigg aged 42 on the SS Athenia - Anchor Donaldson line going into Quebec, Canada on 29/4/1029. It would be wonderful if anyone could offer information on James Alexander for us
