Ann Quigg
So far my search has led me to an Ann Quigg who married Thomas McGuigan in Ireland. Their children were Patrick, James and Jane, who was born in Colrain Ireland and worked in the Station House Hotel,( it is said she was born out of wedlock and that her father was possibly the son of the Hotel owner) Jane married James Thompson. He went to Ireland from Scotland. He was in Clydebank, and worked as a stoker for the railroad and also on steamships and traveled the world. Their children were James, Anne, Alexander. Anne married David Malcolm Crooks in Belfast in Dec.1917 He was wounded in the war and met Ann, who was a nurse in Belfast. Her father was against the marriage ((religious conflicts). After the war he worked for a company called Menzies(?) He also worked in Glasgow as a foundry worker and then transferred to Falkirk.Their daughter was my Grandmother Ann Thompson Crooks, born Nov 22 1919 in Camelon Scotland. She married Thomas McGuchan Lenathen, who was born Nov 6 1918 in Falkirk Scotland. They married Sept 1 1939, Falkirk Parish, Stirlingshire, In the St. Francis (Xavier?) Church and were married by Father Blea. I would really be interested in anyone knowing about my Grandfathers side but would also welcome any more info on this line. I hope maybe this can also be a clue for someone else. Thank You.
