To clear up the confusion on any migration to Guam.
The Philippines did NOT populate Guam on its own. Let's not forget the other islands surrounding the PI. Nor how the PI was populated. My wife is Tagala (as us chamoru's say) and marrying her has practically forced me to research my history, not on my wife's beliefs, but her familia.
Also, in Magellan's lifetime he claimed discovering Guam AND the Philippines for Spain. He was also eventually killed in the PI. In Guam there is only one religion and one language: Catholic and Chamorro. In the PI there are many religions and many languages. If migration from the PI did occur than we should have adopted the PI langugage into ours and the many religions. I have many Filipino friends that have both Muslim beliefs and Buddhism beliefs. They also tell me that there parents are full Filipino, and to their understanding, there lineage is Filipino. This only brings up one question, Who populated the Philippines? Muslim was spread througout England in the 12th Century, even earlier, and Buddhism originated in India.
This is not to criticize anyone. I just wanted to bring another light to this topic. Adios.
