Noble lineage from Asturias which first solar home was hemmed one and a half league from Oviedo city, in the location named Cagigal, with real estate in places like “Concejo de Sierro”, and “Bobes”, in the Concejo State, the owner in the middle of XIV century was Dona Orosia de Quintanilla, from her marriage with Don Luis Alvarez de Quiro`s, from the noble asturian house of the Quiro`s had a son: Don Alonso de Quintanilla, who used his mother’s last name and was addict Caballero to Enrique IV of Castilla, and to the catholic King and Queen to whom he was principal accountant.

By that time the Santa Hernandad was instituted to persecute criminals and by his advice was possible the departure of C. Colombus to America as recorded by Marineo Siculo and other historians, he supported the inquisition court. He rests with his parents in the convent of Santa Clara in Ovideo City.

Don Antonio de Quintanilla y Cortina and Don Antonio de Quintanilla y Heredia, from Carmona (Sevilla) and Seville respective they were Caballeros de la Orden Militar y Alcantara in 1638 and 1704 . Don Luis de Quintanilla y Contreras from Alcalda de Henares (Madrid), in 1643 Don Rodrigo de Quintanilla from Lora de Rio (Seville) In San Juan de Jerusalen, Don Fernando y Don Francisco Quintanilla, Andrade y Quintanilla, from Lora de Rio (Seville) in 1741.

This illustrious linage from his nobility to the real chancilleria by valladoldid in which had being recognized as hijosdalgos de casa y solar known accordingly for that he be given the same prerogative to this privileged to have filled seven voluminous records, the oldest belonging to Don Lope de Quintanilla who was born in Panoorbo (Burpos) in the year 1526.

They exhibit between others the following nobility titles:

The Marquisate of Aranda granted July 12, 1709 with the previous Vizcondado de Quintanilla to Don Francisco de Aranda y Quintanilla, Caballero de la Orden Militar de Santiago with the authority to assign successors between his sons; the Vizcondado of Don Fuentes, granted August 16, 1875 to Don Miguel Lasso de la Vega y Quintanilla, the Marquesado of Las Torres de la Pressa, was granted May 17, 1680 with greatness of Spain, was exhibit by Don Andrade’s Lasso de la Vega Quintanilla, Quintanilla y Caro, XIII Marques and IX Conde de Casa Galindo two times Grande de Espana since the year 1905

The coat of Armas exhibited by this noble lineage is composed as follows:

1. 3 Moorish heads in a green field
2. 10 green poplar leaves in silver field
3. 3 golden stars in a dark blue field
4. In a silver field, 3 red stripes over dark blue and silver waves with a red border showing 8 castles in gold.
