Quintanilla History and Disneyland

Hello Quintanilla's,

My name is Jorge Quintanilla. I was born and raised in California. My Mother and father Were both born in El Salvador.

I have always had a great interest in our family name and was doing as much research as possible. As you may know resources for are unique surname are far and few between.

One day while I was on a family trip to Disneyland we stumbled upon our entire family history. There is a little shop inside of Disneyland called the castle heraldry shop right when you go across the bridge through sleeping beauty's castle on the right hand side before the Peter Pan ride. This is the only shop left in Disneyland not owned by the Disney corp. the original owners still own it and it has been there since the park opened. My wife and I stepped in and went and looked at all of the family crests and family history's they had on display. And there in the very middle of the shop was our name full family history and coat of arms beautifully embroidered and in a gold frame. I went up to the woman working in the shop and pleaded with her to tell me how was it that our name was up there. She informed me that the original owner personally went and picked 50 original surnames and our was one of them.

So if you find yourself strolling through the magical kingdom with your family and want to brush up on your family history head on through the castle and stop by the castle heraldry shop and tell them a Quintanilla sent you.
