My great grandmother was Elena Quintero and her father was Ramon Quintero. Elena was born in 1863 and died at 93 years of age (20 October 1956)in Mexico City.
She married Lorenzo Gonzalez about 1890 and raised a family in Tinaja de Vargas (Michoacan) which is near the San Jose de Vargas settlement. Her Gonzalez children were:
Jose Isac Norberto (b 1891), Pablo (1893), Maria b ?), Rafaela (b 1896), Nicolas (b 1898), Refugio (b 1900), Ramon (b 1901), Jesus (b 1903), Flaviano (b 1904). The birth records of her children were discovered in the Parish of Tanhuato, Michoacan.
One of her Gonzalez family decendants (Christina daughter of Nicolas) still lives high on the hillside of Tinaja de Vargas which has a natural artisian spring of cold water which has never ceased to flow its water for more than 100 years.
We would like to discover more of Elena's genealogy and the Gonzalez genealogy.
