Hello Judy,

your message is very interesting for me because I am researching worldwide the history of my paternal family Quitmann ( also Quitman, Quittmann, Kvitman, Quiedmann). I am also in contact with the owners of Monmouth of today and with the descendents of JAQ.
However, we are not only intersted in the data of birth, marriege and death but much more in the history of their life.

Due to that I would like to ask whether there exist still any documents about the building history of Monmouth, any letters or handwritten papers of that time and it would be wonderful if it would be possible to get a copy of that. here in Germany we have a special Quit(t)man(n) family archive, which collects all such things to keep it for later generations.

Best wishes from Germany from Heide Wiese-Quitmann
