OBIT-Ida Esther Quitt, 87, dau of Jacob and Ethel (Libman) Mankovitz
Ida Esther (Mankovitz) Quitt, age 87, formerly of 6 Wachusett St., died on Saturday May 22nd in the Life Care Center in Auburn.
Her husband, Israel Quitt died many years ago. She leaves a brother, Morris Mankovitz and his wife Barbara of Worcester; a sister, Natalie Godin of Tamarac, FL; two nephews, Jeffrey Borenstein and his wife Lydia of Worcester and Joey Borenstein of Hollwood, CA; and several grandnieces and grandnephews, including Mark, Elaine, Sandra and Samuel Borenstein. She was predeceased by two brothers, Abraham and Solomon Mankovitz and by her sister, Rose Borenstein and by her two nieces, Cindy Mankovitz and Robin Polissack.
She was born in Worcester and was the daughter of Jacob and Ethel (Libman) Mankovitz and lived in Framingham for 25 years before returning to Worcester.
She was a saleswoman at Loehmann's Department Store in Framingham for 10 years before her retirement.
For many years, she had been a member of Beth Israel Synagogue, the Ladies Auxiliary of Irving Yarock Post # 32 of the Jewish War Veterans and had been an active volunteer of the Jewish Service Center for Older Adults and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She loved her friends at Canterbury Towers.
Funeral Services will be held at 11AM, TODAY, MONDAY, MAY 24TH in Perlman Funeral Home, 1026 Main St. Burial will be in Framingham-Natick Hebrew Cemetery in Natick.

Memorial Observance will be held through 7PM THIS EVENING at the residence of Jeffrey and Lydia Borenstein, 7 Hartshorn Ave.
