Hi Linda, your message was interesting, and I'd like to know how Pauline Raabe and Robert are connected. Let me give you my connections and see if they match yours. Of the original Robert Raabe b1823 and AugustF. W. Rabe b1816 (August went by Rabe spelling later in life--if you know anything about that I'd be really interested):
Robert 1823 and Wilhelmina Wrege Raabe had 4 children:
Otto G. 1854 (my ancestor) married Auguste Splittgerber
Ida 1855 married FW Melcher and died in a lamp fire-- survived by a daughter, Ida.
August 1857 married Bertha Prawitz -lived in Stanton
Frank 1861 married Emma Koppitsch- lived in Stanton

Robert's brother , August FW Rabe married Auguste Pauline Sproener or Zeuckner (according to cemetery records)and had 5 children:
Robert Ludwig Otto 1858 married Anna Marx
August W 1848 married Mary Kumm
Maria 1853-1885
Pauline 1862-1887
Wilhelm 1841 or 1844-1867
The August FW Rabe family is buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery in Cuming County Nebraska. In fact, both families tended to stay in the Cuming County, Nebraska area.
I am really interested in this Pauline Rabe married to Otto F. Paege. What can you tell me about her? If her parents were August and Auguste Schisner Rabe, that may be a match. How sure are you about the Schisner spelling? I hope to hear from you soon. EllenV
