From the Masonic Cemetery & Obit Book found at Silver City Museum. Silver City, Grant Co, New Mexico
The Southwest Sentinel 1885
Died in this city, Sept 19th, Margaret Howe Rabb, aged 83. Mrs. Rabb was born in Tennesse and removed to Texas in 1822 and had not been living long in Silver City at the time of her death.
She leaves two children to mourn her loss. The funeral was conducted at her late residence by Rev. Coats. At the time of her death she was the oldest living citizen of Texas.
I did not find her grave, in the Masonic cemetery a lot of the plot markers are gone, you can see where the was a marker at one time, but no longer. The lady from the museum said that Mrs. Rabb had to have been buried there or she wouldn't have appeared in the book.
