Mark:

I just started to get more involved in my Rabenold search. My ancestors came from the Berks/Lehigh County, PA areas. The only name I show is "Amanda Rabenold" pos. born abt1815. She married John Dries, an Undertaker and Carpenter. They had a large family and I have a group picture. I do not know anything about Amanda's siblings, parents or grandparents, nothing. All I have is a few family documents that show she was born in PA and a picture of her tombstone.

I need to read some books on the Berks and Lehigh County areas, church records, etc. in the near future to see if there are any threads out there on her connection. Going back that earlier is hard to discover much about females since they do not always show up, pos. on wills and church records.

Would you happen to have any advice on trying to locate Amanda? I have inquired with others on this website, with no positive feedback.

I know they were German, their wedding cert. it in German and I have one of their children's birth certs that was also in German. The name "Dries" is also German. I have read many interesting things about the Rabenold history from you as well as others on this website. Thanks for anything you can throw my way.

Sincerely, Lisa Looney
