I am a descendent from Christiana Mary Robanold Royer who was wed to Daniel Royer of Pennsyvania and fought in the Civil War with the 148th Pennsyvania Volunteers Company G. Daniel and Christiana settled in Valley Falls Kansas after the war. That would be Christiana daughter of Caroline Robenold and John H. Garthoff if I am interupting this message correctly.
Note: I found the spelling of Robanold in the back of my grandmother Alma Pearl Royer Zimmerman's bible - I'm also not sure why there is such a variation in the spelling.
A fellow geneologist directed me to your site...she has been a wealth of knowledge and guidance.
I am not sure why Daniel and Christiana moved to Kansas and any information that you may have would be greatly appreciated.
