Looking for a John LeClair/LaClair born in Quebec in about 1840. His mother's name was Elisabeth, possibly Rebeny.
He removed to U.S., either Vermont or New York in 1861 and died in Johnson, Vt. in 1914. Wife's name Catherine Bonnet, parents unknown, married about 1859/60. The couple had at least 5 children: Mary born 1862, John abt. 1864, Thomas 1866, Lewis 1873 and unnamed child.
The family was somehow connected to the Rabideau family.
This one has been very difficult to solve.
