I've just recently been looking back into my family's past, and so far the results have been mixed.
My mother's side is giving me a really hard time... I can trace my grandfather back to his grandfather, but can find nothing on my grandmother.
She was born in 1898 as Anna Virginia Rabideau. At some point she married Fred Joseph Bailey and started a family in Clinton, New York (children Kenneth, Clifton, Mildred and Sylvia) before moving to Connecticut where my mother Alma was born.
Any ideas? The book "The Robidous in North America" would have been a great help if the only copy currently available (on Amazon) wasn't selling for $200!
