Australian Branch of Rabinovitch
Posted by: Shirley Crosby (ID *****5268) Date: August 13, 2005 at 21:01:48

My mother's maiden name was Victoria Rabinovitch, born in Melbourne Australia on 24 May 1903. Our branch of the Rabinovitch family emigrated to Australia from Kiev. One of my ancestors was Solomon RABINOVITCH (1851 - 1912) who was a violin maker who was born in Russia, trained in Germany and France. Migrated to Australia in 1880 and lived in Melbourne until c.1889

I am trying to trace any information about my family prior to the branch moving to Australia, as well as any information about the family in Australia in the early 20th century.
