I am doing family research and there's only so much we know about my grandfathers side prior to them shortening their last name. The family last name was Rabinowitz and all the men were Rabbis until my great-grandfather Morris and his brother broke the chain, came to the states and shortened their last name to Robbins.... that's about all I really know. If anyone can help me find any information on my family before then, I would truly appreciate it.
