Larry,

Go to the home page set up for the Raeburn (etc.) DNA Project at the following URL:

http://home.mchsi.com/~r165/

At the bottom of the page is a link to "How to Join."

It is self-explanatory from there.

While you are there, be sure and read Roger Rayborn's info on what it is about. Also click on the link which shows the results gotten so far.

We hope others will join in. We have already identified three distinct unrelated lines now. Some tests are still in the lab. It turns out that my Uncle's results have two matches--one to a line that was in Edgefield Co., SC around 1800 and then went to TN.

We did not match Roger's line. Yet researchers on all three of our lines over the years have "claimed" Henry Raiborne of the 1732 will in Henrico Co. VA as the ancestor. That is likely because early researchers didn't have the access to records we do now and that was the only will anyone found! Obviously, we aren't all be from that line.

We very much need to have the line of that includes Hodge Rayburn of NC and the line of Thomas who was married to Rebecca Adams in the project.

Any body out there who knows they descend from either of those I hope you will join in. This benefits us all in trying to sort these folks out.

Larry, I look forward to see that you have been added to the project and to see if it will eventually help you find a "clan" to which you belong.

Gail
Descendant of Silvanus/Sylvanus Rayburn of Surry Co., NC to Overton Co., TN.
