I have a large amount of documentation, in book form, on the family of Willian Race/Abram Race, etc., but it is only in hard copy form. I made over 45 copies and sent them to many descendants of our family and several Historical Societies. It contains death certificates for both Abram and Wesley, which name William as their father. It also contains much more info which will further document our findings. Unfortunately, I only have one physical copy of my book left in my possession, and I don't have the ability to copy it. If you are interested in officially verifying Abram's connection to his father William, I would suggest that you contact The Herkimer (NY) County Historical Society, where for a small fee, (I believe it's $10.00,) they will send you an entire copy of my book - "The Belfast Races of Allegany County: A Documented Genealogy" By William Stewart Race. Besides the death certs, it also contains a wealth of info on Abram's service in the Civil War, a historical background on our Races in the mid-1800s, and much more documentation which proves the connection between William, Abram, and Wesley.

Incidentally, Abram had a total of nine other siblings, and we have various degrees of info on each of them. Since you are new to Race genealogy, I should let you know that there are currently three separate Race groups who are officially recognized as official "clans", but we have thus far been unable to tie any of these three groups together officially. It is our quest to someday find that missing link that will join these links together. The largest group is known as the "Rees/Race family. Another is known as the "Mose Race Family", and our family is known as the "Belfast (NY) Races" - because all of our ancestors, including Abram. lived in the Belfast NY area (Allegany County) in the 1800s. One other alternative to ordering my book is that it can be viewed for free at historical societies in both Herkimer and Allegany County Historical Societies. If you get the chance to see it, I highly recommend it. There is so much I could tell you, but its really difficult to confine it to a single email response. Once again, it's great to see that you have an interest. Welcome to our family.
