I also have looked into this family, as my Race family lived in Chicago.....I recall on a census in Ohio it said they were from England.....I have not found any connection to my family who came from Berkshire Co, Ma. in 1858. I would be happy to help....Do either of you have Race families living or have lived in the Chicago IL?
