My great grandfather William Phillips married Julia Racicot at Wahnapitae 1897. George Olscamp and wife Mary were witnesses. Julia died at George's home Feb 24 1925 she was 48. Their children were David William, Mary Ann Alice, Florence May, William F.(my grandfather), Herbert Charles and Charlotte May. They lived at Victoria Mines Sudbury, Nickleton and Azilda.
Pte. Jos. Racicot (Julia's brother)was killed in action Nov. 1 no date. He enlisted with the C Co. in the 227th Battalion.
I also have names of Kate (Catherine?) May (Mabel?) Mildred, Marie, Dave, Frank, and Homer. There is a connection to Racicot and Roscoe, because years back I had made a family tree for a school project with the help my grandfather, and he gave me his mothers name as a Roscoe, not Racicot. When I found this a few days ago I thought there was a mistake in her maiden name but I guess not!
