Hi Dorothy.
Thank you for the data
My uncle married a descendant of Charles Racicot(Barnier) and Sophie Mathieu. My grandmother Sophie was a sister of Helene Labadie, his second wife. I am interested in getting data from the Kent County records on properties owned by the Racicot(Barnier), Bernier(distinct from Barnier), Labadie, and Rock families in the Thames River area dating from the original settlers there. I think those original titles will do much to clarify all the inter-relationships. People didn't go far from their homestead areas to find their mates. I have some data from Berniers from the Detroit River area, and I believe they are apparently distinct from the Racicot / Barnier family.
