Ambrose ( Ambroise ) Racicot

Request any military info on my grandfather Ambrose Racicot (aka Ambroise) ..Most people seem to think his real name was Ambroise but actual name was Ambrose (occupation Blacksmith )d.o.b April 12-1896 not April 14 as in many listings. Married to Valeda Joanisse ...Father's name Adolphe-Frederic -mother's name Margueritte Villemaire .
Ambrose enlisted Dec 06-1915 CEF Overseas Expeditianary Forces , was at Vimy Ridge(fact) April 9-14
His regimental # 178043 .

If anyone shud have any old military pictures with Ambrose, info ,diaries etc ..would greatly appreciate talking to you .

Family info from way back when tells me he was in the cavalry which could be true as I have seen his spurs when I was a child.More investigation tells me that he may have been part of the 7th battalion ??? Family tells me that over the years his uniform , medals , spurs ,side arm, helmet have somewhat been lost ????( hidden )

Am trying to pinpoint his actual location -date etc at Vimy Ridge with regiment with any proper documentation (for my gedcom files .)

If anyone should have such info , please mail me directly : kungfupops@yahoo.com or racicot_michel@yahoo.ca ...

My Entire Racicot Family File to the middle 1400's could be made be available ..
