Racicot/Dupuis Native American Ancestry Question
Posted by: Nancy Lacroce (ID *****6269) Date: November 04, 2005 at 16:54:39

I am trying to find out if anyone has any information on Native American ancestry in my family. I am a grandchild of Thelma (Gelinas) Dusablon, who is the daughter of Rose (Dupuis) Gelinas, who is the daughter of Marie-Rose Emma (Racicot) Dupuis (known as Emma) and Dominique Dupuis. I have always been told by my family that Emma Racicot was an Algonquin Indian. I have also seen it mentioned by one of my second cousins (Ann Rogers) that some of our family believed that there was Blackfoot Indian ancestry on that side of the family. I would greatly appreciate any information that anyone has about my family's Native American Ancestry or any information that you can provide that will help me find this information. Thank you!
