I wonder if were looking for the same family. Our search for racicots seem to cross paths now and then As I observed. Do you think You Ambroise ever used the name Moise or could your Ambroise be a brother of my Daniel Moise And his childrens names be alike to my Daniel Moise?
I think all these French Racicots are one . And I'm gonna follow the Metis connection. They were not known to us as being any indian. But I think being fur traders they could be or at least lived amoung them. and Travels of racicots by water as they were seaman Later on.
If you would please, read my posting history. See if yours was ever in Cheneyville.
Thanks Connie
