I think a big problem is that many of the Cheneville parish records are illegible. There was, however, a burial record that might belong to France:
France Racicot, forgeron, husband of Oxila Desjardins, d. 2 May, bur 4 May 1923 Cheneville, age 69 years, 11 months.
That would give him a birth date around 1853.
